OJK is closely monitoring the high levels of risky credits (or loans at risk) at banks to ensure that financial markets remain healthy as Indonesia enters the third year of the C-19 pandemic. OJK shared that the gross non-performing-loans (NPL) for banks in December was at 3%, a decline from 3.19% in November. In addition, OJK also noted a decline in credit restructuring in the banking sector, at US$46 billion (IDR 663.5 trillion) as of December, from US$70 billion (IDR 1,000 trillion) during the peak of C-19. Finally, bank credit distribution grew by 5.24% in December, while third party funds (non-bank credit) grew by 12.21% in December.
