Digitisation of the economy is one of the focus areas for Indonesia’s growth. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is targeting a minimum of 20 million MSMEs to enter the digital ecosystem in 2022, followed by 24 million by 2023, and 30 million by 2024. In addition to the MSMEs, there are also targets for cooperatives to go digital, with 500 modern digital-based cooperatives by 2024. Finally, there is also a target to on-board one million MSMEs to be part of the Government’s e-catalogue for procurement of goods and services (“LKPP”) by the end of 2022.
